The Senate may vote on Wednesday or Thursday, May 26 or 27, to make changes in municipal health insurance as part of the budget. Depending on what amendments are proposed, this vote could significantly weaken your right to bargain over health insurance benefits. Let them know you understand that cost-savings are needed during these tough economic times, but that employees need to be part of the discussion about how to achieve savings in a way that is fair to all.
