Mr. Ditata's piece was well-written. As dues paying members of the MTA, we need to have our voices heard. Mr. Toner's proposed changes to the evaluation standards not only scuttles an educator's right to due process, but they also pretty much make the MTA impotent.
Do the policy makers of the Massachusetts Teachers Association think this is a tactic in a larger grand strategy? Were I a member of that union, I would advocate firing the leadership
I for one am tired of paying high dues to a union who consistently sells out its membership. First it was our lifetime certification, now its this whole grand scheme, whats next? I bet it will be our retirement benefits. Maybe its about time we looked into the AFT.

I feel betrayed by MTA.
