When the Portia supporters feel slighted, they form groups. In New Bedford, they are known as the Education Roundtable/UIA. Waterbury's version is called the "Waterbury Center for Economic and Social Justice." I hope Waterbury's educators are ready for the impending assault on their schools and collective bargaining rights.
New Bedford’s malcontents considered Portia Bonner a visionary school reformer who walked on water and had all the answers to all of our educational problems. When she left the district, the same malcontents said that she would have another job in a matter of days. They went on to say that New Bedford’s loss would be another districts gain.
At this point in time Portia is still job-hunting. She has applied in 5 districts and was most recently humbled in her hometown of Waterbury. What do the malcontents have to say about that?

There must be some error in the article or the link. It is missing the part that mentions evidence of racism.
