Dear Colleagues,
I am a mom, kindergarten teacher at Hay-Mac, wife and lots more. But I also have an extremely rare disease called Devic's which, if left untreated, I will be paralyzed or will die in 5 years. My health insurance company denied my life-saving medicine and justified it as a matter of "policy." I fought back and won a temporary stay. Come June, I will be denied again! So, I am fighting harder now. I am creating a bill to stop this practice in our home state of Massachusetts and recently testified at the State House. And I am now working on the White House!! I have created a petition at the White House website: Click here. Would you consider signing it so you can help me and many others like me? Also, I need help spreading the word! I need 5000 signatures by October 27 to guarantee a response from the Obama administration. 5000 is a HUGE number in a short time! So, please tweet it, email it, mention it, or post it on facebook for the world to see!! Any help that you may be able to give, I appreciate! Thank you so much for your consideration. It means more to me than you may ever know! To learn more about me and my battle visit my facebook page.
Thanks a bunch!!
Becka Alves
