I don't blame Lou for not speaking with the S-T. Anyone can see that the paper has an anti-New Bedford Public Schools agenda. However, I did hear Lou on WBSM's Dick Spirlet Show on Sunday Morning. He was also on the station just before the holidays. The station's news people and talk show hosts are fair. The S-T should learn from their example.
As always, Lou is an articulate spokesperson for the children and teachers of New Bedford.
This was another disappointing article from the S-T. I guess Bob Unger told Charis Anderson to rehash some of the old stuff. I want to read more about the educational fraud being perpetrated by "Dr." Steve Furtado and his cronies at the Global Learning Charter School. There's also the role that Dan French will play in any innovation schools proposal. How many millions will he make from the NBPS? I predict these are articles you won't be reading in the Standard-Times. Objective reporting left that paper with the passing of Jim Ragsdale.
"According to Bullard, Mitchell has met a number of times with members of the Education Roundtable." And so, Mitchell has met with a clique with interests in taking funds, control, and opportunities from the public schools far more times than actual city or schools representatives.

It's like Charis had nothing to say but had to write a story anyway. What a waste of ink!
The ST has continually ignored/excused the failures of the global learning charter school.
It didn't take long for Spillane to attack Mitchell. He better get used to it. It's going to happen more and more because they wanted Cabal.
