Thanks Mayor Lang! After the next two years of the "former federal prosecutor", your administration will be viewed as the good old days.

I don't know what we will do without Mayor Lang! Who is going to run the school department now? Who will be telling the sup. what to do? Thank goodness he is still there to stir the pot from the sidelines. You go for it citizen Lang!

At some point we are going to need to stop whining and move forward. The DESE is here in the district and, hopefully, administrators will FINALLY step up and start acting like leaders. I, for one, am tired of the excuses, hiding behind closed doors, and turning a blind eye to the mess we have here. Welcome, DESE. Maybe you will be the impetus needed.

I agree change needs to happen but not dictated by the state. If we become a level 5 district, housing values will plummet and it will ruin many students' chances of going to a good college. DESE has their own agenda as well as the commissioner, make no mistake! And let us not forget they could have been a force of reckoning for many years now and they have done nothing but allow business to continue as usual. Going from one extreme to the other is not the answer. And the largest stakeholders, aka: the students and teachers, should be leading that change, not politicians who are so far removed from the classroom that they have no clue.
