After reading today's paper, I feel that we are all going to be on the hot seat. There will be a great deal of finger pointing from teachers in the high school pointing to the problems they inherit from the middle schools; from middle school teachers pointing to the problems they received from the elementary schools. Why hasn’t the S-T gone after the parents for not making their children be responsible? We are starting to be pitted against each. United we stand, divided we fall. Let’s work to together.
As a parent, I have to agree. Fingers are being pointed at the schools but parental responsibility is being overlooked. It is often ignored but it's so true, parents play the most important role in their childrens' education Nothing will change as long as parents are not held accountable. The school system can only do so much.

Childern learn to be responsible by watching thier parents!
I believe we can do better. Who couldn't? However, I would lobe to run these student profiles against family data.
