New Bedford School Committee weighs superintendent's future | SouthCoastToday.com

"I think it's awful that they're blaming her for everything," said Jackie Nelson-Eckhardt, a freshman English teacher at New Bedford who attended the meeting.
Nelson-Eckhardt said the problems with the city's schools started a long time ago.
"Dr. Francis stepped in when we needed her to and bailed us out from a bad situation and, for that, she's been dragged through the mud," she said.

No one really believes that Bonner created the NB school dept. mess. She didn't have enough time to get her coat off! So who created the mess?

Mitchell actually praised the superintendent by saying she's tireless worker. Is that why he wants her fired?

Is he trying to make room at prab for his friends and family?

His campaign manager got a job at the charter school immediately after the election .

For a lawyer, Mitchell doesn't know much about open meeting laws or the education reform law of 1993.

Let's face the facts, you don't need any qualifications to be a politician, you just need a machine behind you and Mitchel has the machine.

Mitchell reminds me of a keystone cop. Heavy on gas but light in substance.

Anyone but Mitchell for mayor!

Previous blogger said it all,if you have the machine behind you,you are all set. Some things never change in New Bedford.

Bad Standard Times, bad, bad! Why aren't you investigating the allegations that Mitchell broke the open meeting law? You did it in Wareham, why not in New Bedford?
