A member responds to Chris Collings

A simple thought in response to Mr. Collings. His letter appeared in the Standard Times on July 17th.

I appreciate the fact that you demonstrate such civility on instructing others on proper behavior, or maybe not. The fact when students choose to make adult decisions and work in cooperation with organizations that promote a specific agenda they have already opened themselves up to criticism, that is all part of engaging in public discourse. I concur with you that we should engage in the discussion in a more amiable way, but to do so we must also raise the banner of a more dignified behavior ourselves.
