Friday Food for Thought

On Monday night’s school committee meeting, Mayor Mitchell further admonished the City on a Hill charter school proposed for New Bedford. While echoing the sentiments he expressed earlier in his letter to Mitchell Chester, he added that the decision to oppose the school wasn’t even a close call. Considering the mayor’s previous stance on charter (and charter-like) schools, this was weird — but then something even weirder happened.
