Reviewing the Esperanza School Proposal: by Josh Amaral
I found it interesting that at the last school committee meeting, Marlene Pollock discussed her recent visit to the proposed schools and eagerly pointed out that students of the existing schools would not be affected by the new innovation schools because they are “separated by heavy doors,” adding “…they’re really quite separate. You can’t hear what’s going on.” Well thank goodness. At least the other kids won’t realize they’re getting screwed.

Marlene Pollock is a disgrace. She ran originally to affect change in the "political machine" and now is entrenched in it. Her focus at present is to provide jobs for her family.
Josh Amaral is a very impressive young ma. I wish him much success. I believe he is destined to be a great leader in the city of New Bedford.
Looks like my Mom's posting in the comments again.
That's the thing you need to start realizing about political machines. The so called anti-machine network in New Bedford is the biggest machine of all, long since the so called old boys club disappeared. But that's ok, since they're in it for the downtrodden, or so they tell us.
