Education Roundtable propaganda in today's newspaper

According to the Standard Times, “The group is made up of representatives from all segments of the community, including business leaders, educators and religious leaders.”

We think it’s important to point out that most of the "community leaders" at the event are affiliated with the Education Roundtable, the Global Learning Charter School and the United Interfaith Political Action Group. Jennifer Clune and Kerry DeJesus, the educators quoted in the article, are the founders of the proposed schools.

Past and Current Members of the Education Roundtable

Standard Times, February 1, 2013 - Darlene Spencer - Education Roundtable
"Voting 'yes' for the innovation-schools proposals will be a win-win for the entire city of New Bedford." "Our children in New Bedford have struggled enough. It's now time for progress."

Standard Times, February 1, 2013 - Craig Dutra  - Education Roundtable
"A 'yes' vote will be a clear sign that the School Committee is committed to transformation and progress."

I meant to tell you not to read the paper today too.

Embarrassing.
