Media Integrity..... by Josh Amaral

When I was on the Phil Paleologos show a few weeks ago, I mentioned how I felt that the media was not covering both sides of the debate equally. He pushed back, asking for specific examples. Well, here’s a specific example. The “almost 50 community leaders” that have “banded together” are the same names that have been aligned with innovation schools from the start. They sit on the Education Roundtable. They send in op-eds to the Standard Times. Their names appear on innovation school proposals.
To portray these people as recently coming together or as impartial community leaders from all fields is extremely misleading and frankly, just bad journalism.
