New Bedford Public Schools removed the link to NBEA from its website on October 24th.

The district removed the link because they were offended by an October, 23rd comment which was posted on the NBEA blog.

Portia Bonner also removed the link to the NBEA website. History repeats itself.

Is the Superintendent afraid that the truth will get out to the general population as to what is happening in our schools and what a work place bully she is? All things which have tried to be hidden ALWAYS, at some point, unravel. Where is the transparency?

NBPS teachers stay STRONG. NBPS STAND STRONG

This reminds me of Portia Bonner all over again. The Link was removed, then she was. Keep that in mind Dr. D.

She removed the link because she doesn't want the public to know how much she is despised by the teachers in New Bedford. No one has any respect for her or her nasty demeaning manner. She will never build a team that is willing to give it their all.

Maybe it was the unprofessional word of hoping bad karma comes back to someone's family ? People --- act like the professionals you are and pick the big battles ----

This is a big battle....the battle for our public schools and the children in them! Never forget that. Our mayor is a union buster, Dr. D. is a union buster, the principals have no true understanding of our situation, and we can't be silent. The best performing districts in this nation and Finland---have strong unions. We must continue to demand adherence to our contract. It was weakened enough in the last negotiation. No more! It is unbearable.

Principals and the superintendent's staff appear just to be bobblehead figures. They are just waiting her out and hoping and praying that the teachers will do their bidding for them, which by the way we are! There is too much money at stake for them to do any less. Some administrators may be incompetent but they aren't stupid, no matter what you may think. They know how to play the game, and who they need to play it with. Get it! See the election results. Does anyone think that principals left the classroom because they were outstanding teachers or wanted to work more hours? Is there a teacher out there that thinks that any administrator can do a better job than you do? Has any PRAB staff member gone back to the classroom without kicking and screaming? The superintendent needs to get teachers on her side. How is she doing so far? A failing grade from what I read. How does she plan on changing that? Certainly if we had a student that was troubled we would plan a strategy to get him or her on our side. I haven't seen that side of her yet, or is our blogging just water off a ducks back. Is that her MO? Does she believe that teachers are incompetent to reason with strategies to right the ship. If she believes she can do it all alone, or with consultants, or a select few, then I think the mayor should negotiate a settlement and move onto the next search. Mr. Mayor have you asked the superintendent how she plans to bridge the gap between the union, its teachers, and herself. If you want a positive legacy in this city, here would be a great place to start. You say you're the education mayor, first prove it to the teachers, the one's everyone is holding responsible for this mess.

What happened to freedom of speech, the right to inform, and two sides of a story? What does this say about our city and schools? Dirty little secrets!

Instead of trying to fire the "lemons" shouldn't she be trying to turn us all into lemonade?

Pia can't handle the truth.
