Doesn't Chester Mitchell as an employee of the state of Massachusetts have to take and adhere to the states' ethics test? Seems like a clear cut violation to me.Lots of money to be made in testing especially the Race to the Top monies and its alignment to the Common Core standards. No brainer if you ask me.

Monopolies are not supposed to.exist either...
Check into who got the bid to create the tests, then look at which publishing company sells the texts to go with new tests..... surprise, surprise. Same company. ... and who funded? Bill & Melinda Gates

Let the truth be known that the majority of students and parents in New Bedford could care less about PARCC, MCAS, Benchmarks, Open Response Questions, Unit Tests, Chapter Tests, Quizzes, Formative, Summative tests or any other name by which we evaluate students. And why should students or parents care because with just few exceptions all students will be promoted to the next grade. Unless these exams are used to determine competence, mastery, and retention all exams are a waste of time.

The only people stressing about the myriad of exams that are given are the teachers. We are continuously on the hook for under-performing students in which education is not a priority in their lives. The more tests, the less time on learning.

“We believe that Mitchell Chester, by virtue of his role as National Chair of the PARCC Governing Board and other actions, represents a serious breach of trust, which is at odds with his primary duties and responsibilities, and at the very least gives the impression of bias towards PARCC and compromises the decision-making process,” ...

Of course, it's a win-win situation for the corporations who make money from the tests:
1) they get rich from publishing the tests and the textbooks that go with them
2) it's another weapon in their fight to make the public school teachers look incompetent and privatize education

Bring this to the AG! Expose Chester, force our government to take our concerns seriously; don't take no for an answer. Find media outlets who will act as our voice and shout out loud about injustice.
