It is time for Durkin and her staff to go. These MCAS results prove beyond a doubt that her policies and implementation practices have not worked during the time she has been here. There is no sugarcoating these results. The district has had four years to figure it out. It's not going to get any better, but in fact worse. These results are not merely disappointing, they are abysmal. Her and her staff are rudderless and it shows as a comparison against other similar cities with like demographics. I recommend you start your superintendent search now, and let DeFalco know not to bother applying. Get this house in order now, or great teachers will continue to leave seeking position elsewhere. I can wait to read her article in the Standard Times telling us how well the district is doing. Who's buying it now. Not me, and neither should you.
