Nicely written by a NBHS graduate and an admitted former gang member who plans on running for school committee. Since he so clearly sees the ills of the city, perhaps he should forgo the school committee and run for higher office. After all, with the rise in gang violence in the city, don't gang members deserve some representation in politics?
As one of Mitchell's teachers I am happy that he seems able to have found his niche. Unfortunately he is being lead by the nose by the "politics" of the organization(s) that are using him. I hope he can see that eventually.
