I thought that the newspaper article didn't really say anything!

There is very little mention of teachers, past successes and developments, building management, students ( other than their writing skills!!!), families, and community challenges. This is not Year 0 where Bonner has found a district with no past, no human capital, no identity to do with as only she can divine. Teachers work best in partnership - not via "initiatives" from press releases.

Seems to me that maybe Dr. Bonner is going to the newspaper to plead her case before her evaluation comes around!!

I am so ticked off! Hey everybody-did you catch the comments from our superintendent in the Sunday paper? She's not sure she made the right decision by coming to New Bedford? No__________, we're SURE she did the wrong thing. And she's thinks Lou St. John files grievances for every little thing? Couldn't be that she ignores the contract every chance she gets-tries to screw over the teachers and the KIDS of New Bedford by loading classes of over 30. She says she can't correct that because of no money. We've been through bad times before but no superintendent has ever let there be large classes. Thank God Louie stands his ground for all of us. I'm think it's time for a NO CONFIDENCE VOTE!

Remind me what were the ups? A summer reading program that seems to be a flop? Still limited Art, Music and Phys. Ed. at the Elem. level?
New staff that can't work with kids until the Cori checks clear???
Do More with Less? Why doesn't she start with her own paycheck!
