The NBEA asks every educator in New Bedford to participate in a district wide member survey.

Dear Colleagues,

I am very pleased to extend an important invitation to the 1200 members of the district. The NBEA asks every educator in New Bedford to participate in a district wide member survey. The survey was created conjointly by the NBEA and as a professional CAGS study.

The survey is completely anonymous and any questions that are categorical in nature are strictly for demographic purposes only. We want to ensure members that their anonymity is secure whether the survey is taken online or in hard copy format. Results will not be tabulated until the submission period has ended.

The survey will be posted online by the MTA from April 5th through April 30th. Your MTA member number will provide you with access to the survey. Please be assured that this process is merely to preserve the integrity of the survey and in no way shape or form will be used for identification purposes. It is merely to ensure that only NBEA members are participating in the survey and once per member. There is no connection between individual numbers and submissions. We strongly urge members to take the survey online as this makes the tabulation of the results easier but an alternative is available. Attached you will find a hard copy of the survey that you may print out and drop off in person at the NBEA office downtown. You will need your MTA number as stated above for this option as well.

Below is the link to the online survey which will also be posted on the NBEA website for your convenience. You will be prompted to enter your MTA number to gain access to the survey. As everyone can only take the survey once, it is imperative that the questions are read and answered carefully and honestly. Please take the opportunity to make open comments in the sections where it is requested as these responses give us further detail and insight into the issues and concerns educators are facing right now.

The NBEA implores its members to seize this opportunity to exercise their voices and make their feelings known. This survey was especially created for the teachers of New Bedford with the intent of compiling a comprehensive assessment of the current climate of working conditions in the city.

People have been telling me they are having trouble finding the survey on the website... perhaps extend the time frame a few more days, and post it somewhere people don't have to search?
