Is it just me? Does anyone else read this stuff and think, they have no idea????? Come on, you need to know what is going on in a classroom before you make these decisions. I just want to scream! So if I teach a subject that isn't tested then what? If I teach in a school where the scores tank does that mean I'm not as good as someone in another school? What about the kids who put down any answer? What about teaching SPED? What about teachers in alt. settings? Reason number 2 to retire early.
I laughed when I noticed in the sub standard times teaching jobs were being promoting . Who in their right mind would want to be a teacher today! WE get blamed for the parents failures, we get bashed because MCAS scores are low. Remember their are 9 mulitple intelligences-not just logic and literary minded people-not all squares fit into circles! We have classes filled with 28 students and no help! We have people in the administration and the school committee who are sooooooooooooo out of touch and dictate to the teachers when they have never even taught! Who in the hell would want to go into the teaching profession now!

The people making the rules have no sense of reality. They won't be satisfied until people no longer go into the teaching profession.
