Only problem is, that when you go to Marlene, she doesn't kep things confidential... several teachers who went to her with issues, were then called on the carpet for speaking with her. Makes them think twice before going to her again

How about asking the teachers what is needed?
1. policies that are already in existance, enforced?
2. parents/students held accountable for their actions?
3. a bridge school to help those who are too old for Middle School and not ready educationally, mentally and socially for the High School?
you keep talking about visiting Brockton and their successes... a district literacy program is not going to fix all our problems!

Saved 1.2 million. How very interesting. Can we see some proof? Where exactly is this savings going? It certainly hasn't made it's way to my classroom. One last thing - for someone who is pushing the literacy plan perhaps she should start with her own grasp of the English language - "I have 65 years old". Shouldn't she have proofread her answers before sending them in?
