I'm just waiting for the United Interfaith political group and the round table to issue a press release blaming teachers for the actions of these punks.

Those poor kids and parents! They are the true victims in this tragedy. If the teachers slept in the schools at night this would not have happened. Carolee, Jack Livermento and Sister Sylvester should propose this to the school committee.

Maybe, the UIA parishioners should take turns sleeping in the schools instead of the teachers.

Some if not most of these kids are students at NBHS. They do not belong at the high school with kids that want to learn. These kids are part of the population that destroy things for others.

Idea: maybe the UIA people could mentor these kids and teach us how to turn their lives around. Maybe UIA should oversee the kids cleaning up the mess and destruction. OH don't forget about restitution.

Can those of you who consider yourselves adults and educators stop talking like the immature children you are criticizing? There is no need to be sarcastic when discussing an issue like this. Perhaps your own poor attitudes are part of the problem in New Bedford Schools.

And for you, the blog owner who will read and decide if this is even approved; if it isn't, you are as big a problem as those you criticize. If posts are only "pro-teacher" with a negative and cynical sarcasm toward the community, kids, parents, and UIA, then YOU are no more a part of the solution than any of those you criticize.

The majority of teachers at New Bedford are kind and compassionate people who are invested in the lives of all our children. Sometimes our children become the adults we hope for and sometimes they don't. We are all responsible for our own behaviors. Teachers can guide and nurture students but you can't change another human being you can only change yourself!
