The title of this article should be "Let's Use What Happened In Lawarence To Bash New Bedford".

Sounds like Chester is getting even with Lang. Everyone knows there's bad blood between those two. Let's not forget that Lang has been an out spoken critic of the MCAS and Chester. Sounds like payback to me.

Typical S-T.

Not surprised that Charis left out everything regarding the animosity between the mayor and Chester. I guess including facts would have taken some of the spin from the story.

Lang gets into a pissing contest with Chester and New Bedford pays.
The paper is loving it. Now, if they could only figure out a way to sell papers.

Let's face it. The standard-fishwrap will always find a way to criticize our district.

Comments above are correct. MOre Unger sensationalism to hurt public teachers. Maybe, just maybe the Lawrence case has less to do with Charis' statistical skills than it has to do with the complete collapse of the mayor and superintendent's office in Lawrence. See:

I'm watching closely what is happening in Lawrence... I want to see them "fix" this sytem... It comes down to parent involvement, student involvement. Can't educate 'em if they don't come to school... parents need to do their job..Not going to happen if they don't attach some checks and balances to those students
