Less than 2% of city taxes including Property taxes go to fund the city's public schools. Just to point out an inaccuracy. And if they feel that it's unfair to fund retirees healthcare, people that actually worked most of their lives and contributed to the system, then I think it's grossly unfair to give free healthcare to junkies and welfare assistance to teens that are pregnant with their 2nd or 3rd child by the time they are 18. I'm sick of seeing my tax dollars go to garbage like that while I am paying off 30 grand in student loans. Our society has become one that rewards failure, incompetence, dishonesty and cheating. There is no longer an incentive to be a hardworking, honest, contributing member of society. You just end up being the sucker.
