"Pollock said she wants to see the district continue to look for creative ways, both big — are there wraparound services that can be provided for students who are facing issues at home? — and small — can the district give students alarm clocks? — to address attendance."

What is Pollock thinking? Will it now be the district's irresponsibility to provide students with alarm clocks? If that doesn't work, I would like to suggest that teachers get up an hour earlier and make wake-up calls.

We laughed about Pollock's comment all day today. She's so out of touch reality. How did she get voted back onto the school committee?

IS Pollack on something? Typical 60's crazy revolutionary that has put us in the negative position we are in today!

Forget the wake up calls, the teachers should just pick up their students on their way to work!

Yes, yes. Those students with smart phones, tablets, and laptops , texting and Im-ing each other, are confused and need a rudimentary clock and bell to get them up for school. funny how none of Marlenes community organizations have ever raised money for such an obvious solution.

What is in that Kool Aid this cult is drinking?

Pollack must have had a flashback from her days in the 70's... keep looking at the world through rose- or psychadelic glasses Marlene!

Can School Committee members be drug tested? It is quite obvious some are smoking funny stuff.
