I'm insulted by the statement but I'm not surprised. It's my opinion that they are anti-teacher and anti-public employee.

Teachers: Mitchell is doing damage control so that he doesn't lose your votes.Remember the superintendent isn't in the classroom, YOU ARE! When he's finished with her will he be going after you?

If you repeat the lie often enough......

I guess we all need to apologize...Oh no , wait. The next time they'll tell some of us that we deserve respect and they are only pursuing the bad central office, or the bad union leaders. That seems to work.

Mitchell should enjoy the warm glow of the st's adoration because it won't last long.

I would love the see members of the Standard-Times as well as the Mayor and members of the School Committee step up to the plate and teach for an entire week, do all the duties we do daily, give and grade a test, assign homework, etc. Seeing is believing.

If we have thrown up all these barriers, why do we have students accepted into Ivy League colleges and other fine educational institutions, why are our former students graduating from these presitigious institutions and going on to successful careers? Some of them even return to the city gainfully employed in their profession.

The opportunity is there for everyone; however, some of our students and their parents just don't care!

The people who run the Standard Times are ONLY interested in selling newspapers (the rag that it is). They are out to stir the pot, no matter what issue. No one is safe from the wrath of these people who live outside of our community.
