Standard Times, January 14, 2011 – John K. Bullard “It’s hard to avoid the message that spending time in our school system is hazardous to one’s education.”
Standard Times, March 2, 2011 - “John Bullard, a former New Bedford mayor who is Chairman of the Roundtable, said the district should consider how teachers are evaluated and how good teachers are distinguished from bad ones.”
Standard Times, March 18, 2011 - John K. Bullard:
“We will weigh in on current issues like the negotiations between the School Committee and the NBEA because they will impact students. We are not anti-union. We are certainly not anti-teacher. Good teachers are the most important ingredients to success. And for us as a community to succeed in delivering significant improvement in performance, teachers will need to be the heroes, not the scapegoats.”
Is the education roundtable pulling Mitchell's strings?
John Bullard is an ambassador of the Global Learning Charter School.

In Wisconsin, Governor Walker says he not is anti-union or anti-teacher. In New Bedford, John Bullard says, "We are not anti-union. We are certainly not anti-teacher."
If my memory serves me correctly, isn't this the same former mayor who at 2 or 3 public meetings that they "When I was mayor, I admit that I did nothing for the school department." Now all of a sudden he has all the answers. John Bullard never when to public schools, never sent his children to public schools, didn't go to a state college, and admitted he did nothing for the schools when he was mayor.
What is in it for him?
When considering an opinion it is important to consider the bias of the person giving the opinion.

I wonder which genius was responsible for referring to our president as Lou "St. Jean." How can you make that kind of error? His name is St. John and he's the man!
Excuse me, Mr. Bullard, you over inflated jackass, but it was the school committee that hired then fired Bonner (a so called agent of change), then hired Mary-Louise and gave her a glowing evaluation not even a year ago. Now they need to fire her to affect the change the district needs to see? Please stop spreading your ignorance and stupidity. You have no idea what you are talking about and simply add to the humongous pile of hypocritical bullsh*t that already plagues this district and leads it.
Rosemary beat him in the election years ago. That's change we can be proud of.
I don't think he cared much about education when he was mayor and I don't thinks he cares much about it now. This is all about power.
