How very SAD for NBPS to have this happen to such a wonderful woman and school system. What/who is Mitchell listening to? Mitchell gave NBPS a bad name and the CITY a bad name too.

The newspaper helped Mitchell bring down a good person. They must be very proud of themselves.

This is the same paper that quotes Bonneau raving about Normandin's summer program, where the kids who do nothing but disrupt classes all year long get to play computer games for a few weeks and be promoted to the next grade.

I couldn't agree more with the post about Normandin. I can't believe Dr. Francis, a wonderful woman I have known for many years, is gone, while Bonneau is allowed to stay. Wrong target, Mr. Mayor! You've picked the wrong battle.

If the mayor's intention is to change the course of NBPS, and he wanted to start with the person at the top, fine. But, he should also be carefully scrutinizing a lot of the other personnel working at PRAB and administrators throughout the district to see if they are living up to the expectations of their positions as well. There is a lot of hidden and shady stuff that goes on in this district, and a lot of very incompetent people at the helm who know how to put on a good show, get their name in the Standard Times, and make things look good on paper for data purposes. However, the reality of what's truly going on in the schools, if investigated properly, would tell a different story. It is my hope that the mayor is intelligent enough to see through the facade and get to the heart of the matter. Save our district!
