Joshua Edelman chosen to serve on the superintendent search committee

Joshua Edelman is affiliated with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. According to Whaling City Watch: New Bedford's Voice blog, "The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is using BILLIONS of dollars in their quest to destroy public schools and privatize education. Why? There’s money to be made. It’s no secret that most of the costs in education involve labor. Gates, the Sam Walton Foundation (Wal-Mart), and Rupert Murdoch (Fox News) seek to destroy teacher’s unions so that public education will become a temporary job. Schools will be made-up of teachers that will be in the classroom for two or three years, then they will move on to a more lucrative career. There would be constant turnover and chaos. This is pretty much what happens over at the Global Learning Public Charter School. All of the research that cites the important roles played by EXPERIENCED and licensed educators is ignored by Gates and his ilk. By the way, Mr. Edelman also serves on the Board of Directors of the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools."

You can find his biography on their website; http://www.publiccharters.org/About-Us/Board-of-Directors.aspx

Why would the school committee appoint someone who is considered an enemy of public schools to the superintendent search committee?

Why would they not? They are either malign or bumbling.

This committee is lost. Clean them out at the next election.

Red Flag flying in full fury with the naming of Joshua Edelman associated with the Gates Foundation! Remember, they are all about destroying public education, watch the link on whalingcitywatch blog and see what is happening in New York City.

So why would our elected School Committee members go along with Joshua? Are they all about destroying the New Bedford Public Schools?

What is next on their agenda for NBPS? The whalingcitywatch blog said it all in their article "Send in the Clowns." Make sure the http://whalingcitywatch.com is on your daily reading list.
