Elaine Santos voices her concerns regarding Innovation Schools
Calling three members of the School Committee "misfits" is an interesting strategy to be persuasive - even in politics. This is the problem with orchestrating a campaign to demonize those who think differently than you. There are always fringe personalities who will take it too far. They think they're helping, when the opposite is true.
Elaine Santos made a superb presentation to express her views and those who joined her at the podium. THAT is how an individual and a group can be truly influential on an issue. She was professional, passionate, informative and persuasive. It would serve the goals of entire membership and leadership of the NBEA to conduct themselves in similar fashion. If they do, they will succeed in having their point of view prevail.
