Do not bring charter schools into New Bedford and do not bring in City on a Hill. You hear it mentioned in this video and you should listen carefully....whatever bright picture is being painted is not what it seems.
Smoke and mirrors, people. Look at the hard facts from DESE and don't listen to the crap being spouted in promotional meetings. New Bedford is better than this, stop it while we can.
Well said, Eddie! FINALLY, a person of quality and experience speaks the truth with passion for the teachers. Equal access is the pillar or education and Eddie knows Brown v. Board of Ed first hand. I TAUGHT in a segregated school in the South over 30 years ago. I know the outcomes of these quack proposals like Innovative Schools (catchy name). Deja Vu
Eddie Johnson, as a teacher and a person who believes in equality, I thank you for standing up and supporting our children. Please encourage more community members to attend the next meeting, united we stand! Segregation should not be allowed to enter our school system....my grandparents fought too hard to get rid of it in the first place. Also....lets remember this come re-election time. Goodbye Pollock and Livramento.
