Subject: Teachers' Unions organize to attack charter schools

Dear Charter parents, trustees, staff and friends,

We've learned that this Saturday, three SE Mass Teachers' Unions will join with the UMass Dartmouth Labor Studies program to hold a one-day organizing conference attacking charter schools. The conference will be held in New Bedford.

The attached program for "The Assault on Public Education:Organizing the Fightback", states:

Our teachers' unions in the region are under attack by proponents of charter schools. This conference will be an important step in organizing a fight back against these well funded attacks...This conference poses the question of whether private interests be enriched by public education money through charter schools and other forms of education privatization OR will we keep public resources public to benefit all?

Charter schools are in for some turbulent times.  It will be critical in the weeks/months ahead that charter school parents and supporters are ready to speak out against attacks against our schools.

We will be keeping you informed, and will let you know when our schools need you to speak up.

Our 66 charter schools and 30,000 students thank you for your support,

 Marc Kenen

I won't be able to thank you fully for the articles on your web-site. I know you'd put a lot of time and energy into all of them and hope you know how much I appreciate it. I hope I could do the same for someone else sometime.

Kenen and his union of charter schools are sucking millions of dollars out of public real public schools. The truth is coming out and they are afraid. They should be afraid because once they are exposed the money will dry up.
