Bad Infomercial… by Whaling City Watch

As we watched last Monday night's School Committee meeting (1-14-2013), Whaling City Watch just couldn't shake the feeling that most of it was a bad infomercial for Innovation Schools.

Anonymous said...: The student representative to the School Committee, in my opinion, over step his bounds during his report by voicing his support of the innovation school proposals. His sole function is to report on events and happenings at the high school. Former Mayor Lang would, in my opinion, never have let that happen, on the other hand, Mayor Mitchell never said anything to stop the student. What does this say about Mayor Mitchell take on these innovation schools? Makes me wonder. Watch the School Committee meeting.

I am proud of the teachers at Roosevelt for standing up and fighting against the proposal for their building. These schools will cost the district many many dollars which the district does not have.; 20 January, 2013
