My assumption is that this article is another attempt by the standard times to make the union look bad. Where is the name is of the teacher who made the complaint?

The complaint was probably made by one of the "innovation ladies" at Gomes School.

Fun exercise in "journalism" here.

Whoever crafted the headline was either careless or opposed to innovation schools (probably careless, considering the source) "Shea tells district innovation school campaigns have no place in class" -- seems to reflect poorly on the proponents.

But the article is clearly skewed against the union side. My favorite part?

"The union instructs teacher representatives to use breaks or time before or after school to collect signatures for the petition, which has drawn "hundreds" of signatures, he said."

Quotation around hundreds. Wonderful.

Getting a signature on a petition hardly interferes with class time! Moving out will take up more class time! Disgusted!
