Hi everyone! We are very grateful that you will attend the meeting tonight. We are hoping to have an additional 20 parents from the neighborhood speaking in favor of the Renaissance School. Each person must sign up at the podium to speak. We are expecting a lot of "it's not fair" from teachers who still will not learn about the true meaning of innovation schools. We must start somewhere to begin the change process in our neighborhood. We see one great school as not the end, but only the beginning.

Hello Folks,

The New Bedford Public Schools will be holding their public speak out on the Innovation School proposals on March 27, Wednesday evening at 6 PM at the Keith Middle School auditorium. This is an important opportunity to voice your opinion on the Innovation Schools before the school committee vote, which will may take place next week.

Many people who are interested in your work will be at the Innovation Schools committee meeting.

First they came for the socialists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a Jew.

Then they came for me,
and there was no one left to speak for me.

Rescheduling a housing authority meeting to lobby municipal government . Any ethical issues there?

One would agree that having art, music, dance, and gym are an important part of a child's education, then why aren't the innovation people working to have the School Committee provide these classes to EVERY child throughout the ENTIRE district? Why is she and her team willing to fight for only a small group of students? Aren't the rest of the students worthy of these subjects on a weekly basis? Why aren't these public and civic organization fighting to get these courses in all our schools? Don't they care for the students in the rest of the district!!!! Makes one think that only a few deserve preferential treatment and the rest of us what is leftover. EQUALITY FOR ALL!!!! on
