Teacher Resignation Video: 'Everything I Love About Teaching Is Extinct'

I am in tears....at least, thank God, our union hasn't abandoned us.
Kudos to this teacher, and whomever had the courage to post this video! I have witnessed what has been described in this video countless times. I attempted to bring these same concerns to the New Bedford School Department's Administration but, it fell upon deaf ears because I had been labeled as a person with an axe to grind. They have successfully taken away the voices of the teachers, parents, and children. They are driving away the teachers and administrators who truly care about the future of the children...and the future of this country. It is no wonder that our district is one of the lowest in the state.
There are so many great teachers in our system applying to other districts. We are losing amazing educators because the system is failing... the people in power do not care about the teachers, parents, or students. They may actually be looking for staff in the Fall...
