Former New Bedford school chief named new East Haven superintendent

“The moment Dr. Bonner entered the room just a couple of weeks ago for her initial interview we were all impressed initially by her poise, demeanor and the way she carried herself. Once she spoke and expressed her knowledge and love of education as well as her personality I think it was clear to us that we just found a gem.” - School Board Vice Chairman Ronald DeNuzzo

It's hard to shine in the dark halls of the PRAB surrounded by incompetent disloyal folks.

Bob, Jack and I are so very happy for Dr. Bonner. She is truly a remarkable woman who is destined for great things. Long may she reign, and may God bless America.

If you all remember correctly, Bonner tried to stand up to our school committee and that was her true downfall. Maybe, just maybe she saw what many did not see back then but can see now!

According to Dr. Fletcher she hurled insults at the mayor as he was getting into his car. "She yelled at the three of us," "She said, 'You better buy me out if you know what's good for you.'"

"To threaten the mayor and two members of the School Committee, I thought it was the height of unprofessionalism," said Tom Clark.

"After her outburst last night, I have completely lost faith in her ability to lead a school district the size of New Bedford," he said. "I think she is not capable of getting a consensus within the School Department or within the community," said Tom Clark.

Enough of putting the woman down..she had the courage to say no and enough to the men of this city that think you can only do it their way..she had many great ideas and truly cared about children..I wish her the best..
