Today is a great day for reflection and action .... by Ricardo Rosa

Great day for the further reflection and action against capital's undermining of democracy, the creation of jobs paying poverty level wages, the exploitation of fast food workers, the outrageous greed of the corporate elite, and the further structuring of schools in ways that call for youth to be anaesthetized and therefore obedient to it all. Off to Providence, RI to a 3:00 p.m. protest to improve schools, oppose high stakes testing, the use of “student achievement data” in teacher evaluations, and the handing over of public tax dollars to the private operators of “Educational Management Organizations” (EMOs) and charter schools. Join us in this struggle to save America’s most democratic public institution! The protest is followed by a Jobs with Justice Labor Day action! - Providence City Hall - 3:00 p.m.
