How long will the school committee ignore what's happening at Pacheco? .... Submitted by a member

How long will the school committee ignore what's happening at Pacheco? My guess is that the school will be level 5 before Durkin, the school committee and Jon "the education mayor" Mitchell face reality.

The climate is getting worse at Pacheco School. Now we have students fist fighting on a daily basis with no consequences. I've never seen a fight at that school in my @@@ years working there. Yesterday a student hit a teacher and left a mark on her arm. This was after he flipped his desk. No consequence for this either. There is bullying going on and the kids are running the building. Is it going to take something really bad happening like a student or teacher getting seriously hurt before the administration and school committee takes notice? Without discipline and procedures in place no one can teach. At this rate we'll be lucky if we are a Level 3 school next year. We're begging for help and no one is listening.

I'm saddened by what's happening my beloved Pacheco School.

What worries me more are adults who post about safety issues on a blog instead of alerting someone. Weird.

^Blame the teacher...that'll stop the violence. THEY NEED THE ADMINISTRATOR TO CONTROL THE ATMOSPHERE! The new principal is NOT giving consequences---the teachers ARE alerting HER.

What makes you think the teachers haven't alerted someone? They are posting here out of sheer frustration.

Guessing the post labeling other's post as weird in not a teacher. This district is in a tail spin! Wouldn't surprise me to see a teacher, or administrator for that matter, just walk away from their job. I'm sure that sounds rather harsh but these conditions are absolutely nasty!
