I love that this just pops on when you come to the blog! This woman is a hero for students and teachers in every public school in AMERICA....yes-this is AMERICA! The home of the free(education) and the brave(teachers)...

Diane Ravitch is amazing!! I would love for her to come to New Bedford and speak about education and the direction it is going. She speaks the truth- "Where there is poverty, there is low test scores." As a nation, the problem of poverty needs to be addressed and fixed. Students in high poverty areas should have smaller class sizes, proper health care in every school, and more art, music and physical education in their weekly schedules.
