The 2 jacks, marlene, larry, and jon mayor only want to support a superintendent who got thrown out of attleboro. They don't give a damn about our kids.
I'm so proud of the council. They are willing to dig a little deeper and at least offer some hope to our abused teachers. There's nothing safe and comfortable about teaching in New Bedford.
Thank you city councilors for your support! Thank you!
They will look even more incompetent when we have to pay out another supetintendent. When will they actually do a google search on the candidates?
The school committee should be doing more to move our schools forward with the input of teachers. They should be listening to teachers concerns. As for why the city council is more concerned with these and other issues concerning our schools than the school committee, I'll rely on an acronym taught to me by my students: WTF?
I thought it was interesting how the mayor told the CC to back off and mind their business about school department affairs. He wasn't looking for them to back off last June when he was asking for 4 million dollars, was he?
Don't forget, she got kicked out of Narragansett, RI, too after only 11 months! It's on Google.
Watch the City Council meeting. I saw part of it last night, and the City Councilors get what is happening in our schools. They realize that discipline is key. If they get it, what is wrong with our School Committee members? Maybe the City Council should be running our school system.
The mayor is lacking in so many areas. Need I say more.
