Somerset Teachers Association supports New Bedford Educators

Please know that many of your colleagues at the Somerset Teachers Assn. are with you in support of your trials and tribulations in New Bedford schools. Only by working together for education can all stakeholders in our society truly benefit on an equitable basis. This can not be done by over emphasis on test scores, or by punitive measures and threats our to careers by administrators and politicians who have little or no idea of the reality of the everyday classroom environment and home life experiences of our students. Some of us will be attending your rally at 3:30 at City Hall on Friday 1/17/14. Until then best wishes for a positive and fair outcome to your dilemma, as any of us could find ourselves in the same circumstances given today's trending atmosphere of negativity towards teachers,
