All NBEA members, call Governor Patrick and let him know what's being done to NBPS ... Submitted to NBEA

All NBEA members, please contact the governor with all your concerns. If he hears from many of us, our chances for success are much greater. Auto-fill will do most of the work for you. Remind him to read our blog. Share your stories of the horrendous experiences teaching in this district. Now, we can hold Chester, Jon Mitchell, SC, and Pia Durkin accountable.

I am also hoping the Elephant will submit an eloquent email on behalf of all of us, as well. His words immediately grab the audience's attention.

Just sent mine in. It feels great. Do it! "If I am not for myself, then who will be for me?"

Lou,

Can you invite the Governor to our May meeting, or one of his aids? Please....

I vote that we not send anymore money to the MTA because we are doing it by ourselves. Why send $500,000 a year to MTA if all Paul and Tim are going to do is eat, drink and smooze with the politicians for their own advancement?

Parker teachers, Winslow, NBHS, all our teachers in all our schools, submit your emails!

I agree about the MTA. Where are they? They will send an occasional letter, give an occasional speech at a rally. That's it. They should have someone here, working at our union's office, helping with politics, PR, whatever they're supposed to be good at. This is ground zero for union busting right now in the state. And the MTA stays sheltered in their offices. I sure hope they haven't cut a deal with the state the same way Chester/Durkin/Mitchell did. If not, why their silence?!!

It's sad to read that the MTA is not doing anything to help New Bedford's Educators. They should be right here alongside the NBEA fighting to stop what is going on in our school system. Did they at least send a lawyer to help to Joanne Maura? I hope so - looks as if all the money they get from dues is not being used to help those who are paying their salaries.

To the last poster: Not commenting on the MTA in general, but yes, the MTA attorney did come to represent me at the "investigatory" hearing.
