MTA Red Sox Reading Game and Most Valuable Educator Program

The popular MTA Red Sox Reading Game and Most Valuable Educator Program are underway once again.

Posters and entry forms for students are being delivered to your schools.

The reading game — sponsored by the MTA, the Boston Red Sox and The Hanover Insurance Group Foundation — provides students in kindergarten through eighth grade with a chance to win Red Sox tickets if they pledge to read nine books over the summer.

The Most Valuable Educator program invites people to write short essays seeking recognition for those who play key roles for students — such as outstanding teachers, education support professionals, school staff members, coaches and volunteers.

MVEs are then invited to select Red Sox home games, where they go onto the field during a pregame ceremony.
