Please call your legislators and ask them to support H. 340, which would institute a three-year moratorium on the high-stakes uses of testing and develop a task force to study how the focus on testing is changing our public schools.

Last night, President St. John spoke with with Senator Mark Montigny, Rep. Tony Cabral and Rep. Bob Koczera about the NBEA/MTA position on the devastating effects of high-stakes testing our students and educators. Last Thursday, He addressed the City Council on the same issue.
Now, We need our 1025 members to call or email their Senators and Representatives to let them know that these tests are destroying public education.
Our children need an education, not more tests.
Testing is not teaching.
