Lou is right not speak to those idiots at the sub-standard tabloid.

The superintendent better continue to give any credit for achievement on students and teachers because everything she's done is counter productive for a positive working climate.

And yet the middle schools are still being threatened with level 4 status. Could some skullduggery be afoot?

Funny how SGP is so important for PARCC, but no mention of it in the MCAS scores. Data spin.

I am sure that Mitchell Chester had some involvement in skewing the PARCC cut off scores for Massachusetts, so that he can now push his door #3 (MCAS 2.0) with a heavy PARCC infusion. I don't believe things are as wonderful they make them out to be...BE WARY of anything put out there by Mitchell Chester, Pia Durkin or our School Committee. Notice the H. A. Kempton School has improved, but yet there aren’t any individual results for that school posted. Is that because our Superintendent closed that school?? I don't trust any of them!

Where's Jireh Swift School in this? I heard they were at the top. No mention of them, though?

To measure whether or not the superintendent is doing a good job all one has to do is look to the results of Parker and Pacheco schools. Parker is the school in which she and Chester have had the most input, specifically as a turn around model. New teachers, longer days, new principals, and who knows what else. From 2014 to 2015 Grade 3 results down horribly in both English Language Arts and Math. Same for Grade 4. Grade 5 held steady. Pacheco, the once spotlight Level 1 school is sinking fast. Just look at the results. Someone needs to ask her what is going on. Teachers are working very hard to improve student performance at each school and there has been improvement, but more concerning is what is going on where her she has had major involvement.

Which committee member will represent the city and the parents of Parker and Pacheco and be responsible enough to ask the question posed about the two school's results?

DeFalco swoops in to classrooms and tells the teachers what to do, I didn't know he had a degree in education! If only he knew what an ass he makes out of himself. If only he knew that no one takes him seriously because he doesn't know his ass from his elbow when it comes to everyday classroom behaviors and management. He is a laughing stock in this district just like Durkin. Please, Mr. DE Falco...if you know so much about teaching , model the correct behavior, walk in our shoes for a few days, then talk to us! IF not, please stick to what you know....bullying seems to be your forte.

I agree. Mr. DeFalco seems to have no understanding of developmentally appropriate instruction. He has limited administrative impact because he tries to enforce all things K-12 in rigid fashion. That is absurd and destructive.

The tyrants running the school department do so because the have the support of a stupid school committee. Not one of those idiots cares out how teachers and principals are being treated by Durkin and her lackeys.

The SC lacks what real men have.

As bad as Durkin is rumor has it that DeFalco wants to be a Superintendent !!!! I want her gone as much as anyone but if he's what's up next we are in more trouble than you can imagine !!! Gold help NBPS!!!!

What?! A man that wanted to start his own charter school just a few years ago wants to be our superintendent?

Sounds like things are getting worse overall in the district. Can someone fill me in on what level, subject, and length of time superintendent durkin and mr. defalco taught? Is that information available? Can someone post it if known. I would like to know.

I would like to know that as well .

DeFalco takes off running when you ask him to show you the correct teaching procedures. I never saw a person run that fast. He has no clue and is a laughing stock in this city.

Think someone needs to go to a lawyer and file a lawsuit about the hostile environment these administrators perpetuate.....that should put them in their place..a civil suit...I think many lawyers would love to get twenty perfect if that judgement......

Still waiting for these score reports. How the heck will this "drive instruction" for this year? We are 2 months away from the state testing season.
