United Interfiath Action's Statement Regarding Innovation Schools

The United Interfiath Action political group is still a member of the education roundtable. This group blames New Bedord Educators for all the problems that exist in our schools. We have asked UIA to separate itself from this group and to publicaly denounce the negative statements this group has made against educators and the union that represents them. This request has been made several times.

What are your thoughts on the UIA's agenda?

Why are the ER and UIA so secretive?
UIA are a legitimate interfaith group. However, why are their education meetings not posted, recorded, publicized? What criteria do they use for inviting non UIA members to their meets? How can they complain about suspicion and resistance when these questions are unanswered.

As for ER - under what structure does this group exist? They claim to be concerned citizens but offer no indication of how "representative" they are. In fact, they seem to be made of of political friendships with invites extended only to those who fit a predetermined profile. What by-laws govern its membership and operations? Why are meetings not public, with minutes, videos posted? Why is this org linked to a public institute like the Community Foundation which has its own separate structure for accountability.
