A reader's perspective
If the Standard-Times thinks these charter and innovations schools are so terrific for the students of New Bedford, why aren't they endorsing these schools for the area towns--Acushnet, Dartmouth, Fairhaven, Freetown, and Westport. Just a reminder, some of these staunch supports of these schools, which take money from the NBPS, live in those towns. One would think that they would want the same "golden" opportunity for their students.
