Demanding scholastic excellence - Standard Times

According to the Standard Times Lou St John said, "he hopes to work collaboratively with Durkin in the future."

"I am really hoping she and I can develop a great relationship so we can bring (the school district) forward," he said. "When two people are willing to collaborate, great things can happen."

Durkin's response, "Collaboration is a buzzword, but a very important word."

Sounds to me that St. John extended an olive branch and Durkin took it and shoved it up his a$$.

If Durkin is going to start a battle with the teachers the battle will not be pleasant for Mayor Mitchell.

Pia hasn't started yet and she's already setting the stage for conflict. Not very smart.

We don't know what excellence looks like? Really? Pia did not research the history of our schools and alumni very well.

Here are a couple other buzzwords: innovation and reform.
